Lypressin


The porcine antidiuretic hormone (VASOPRESSINS) most frequently used clinically. A cyclic nonapeptide with LYSINE in position 8 of the chain; it is used to treat DIABETES INSIPIDUS and as a hemostatic because of its vasoconstrictor action.
