Chromosome Breakage


A type of chromosomal aberration which may result from spontaneous or induced breakage. ALKYLATING AGENTS and other chemical MUTAGENS, and various types of RADIATION have been found to cause chromosomal breakage. Breakage can result in translocation; CHROMOSOME INVERSION; or SEQUENCE DELETION.
